Individual Counseling & Art Therapy:
You are unique, and I believe in collaborating with you in order to determine the most effective course of action to address your current concerns and struggles. My approach in therapy is person-centered, open, and non-judgmental. We can utilize art-making, talking, cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness skills, or exploration of self within the family system in order to work towards your goals.
You are welcome to contact me via phone or email to set up a time for an initial phone consultation to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, scheduling, and financial considerations. After we have arranged our first appointment time, I will email you some initial paperwork for you to review and complete prior to the session, which leaves more time for us to get to know one another when we meet.
Individual sessions with me are 55 minutes long. I suggest that we meet weekly for the first 4 sessions (weeks) in order to determine if we are a good fit for working together. After 4 sessions, we can then assess the frequency need and adjust accordingly. Some individuals like coming to therapy weekly, others feel that bi-weekly or monthly works better for them. I am open to the schedule that works best for you.

Child and Adolescent Therapy:
Just as you are unique, I believe that your child is unique and that it is necessary to collaborate with you, the parent, to ensure that your child’s individual needs are being met. As a parent myself, I understand that you know your child better than anyone else, and it is important to work together to address your and the child’s concerns and worries in order to help your family.
Depending on the age of the child, I may meet with just you initially to discuss your concerns and the problems that your child is having right now. During that session, we will create a plan for future sessions, including what your involvement will be in therapy, as well as other siblings or family members.
Session time for children and adolescents may vary between 45-55 minutes, depending on your child’s needs and comfort.
